What is Glimpse?

Glimpse is a virtual speed networking solution for back-to-back, one-on-one video chats. Every call is limited to a few minutes, supports engaging conversations with icebreaker questions, and ensures goofiness with our custom photo booth frames.

Is Glimpse right for my community?

Is Glimpse Free?

The basic version of Glimpse is free for up to 100 people at a time. For some features, you will have to upgrade to Premium.

Why should I get Glimpse Premium?

Premium unlocks more advanced features:

  • Unlimited minutes, members, rooms, and admins

  • Onboarding for your organization (we come and train)

  • 24/7 text and call support

  • Lobby (a group video call space)

  • Video Broadcasting (1-to-many message from host)

  • Welcome Video (pre-recorded video for attendees to watch)

  • Post-Event Custom Analytics

How can I invite people to my event?

When you make a Glimpse room, click "copy invite link" and share with invitees. This works like a Zoom link!

What do I do while waiting for my next match?

Sometimes there is nobody for you to match with! You may have exhausted all pairings or not be compatible based on your selected tags. On the free version of Glimpse, attendees wait alone. On the premium plan the Lobby allows attendees to wait in a group call.

Note: this lobby is only available on a premium plan.

How do I play games on Glimpse?

During a match, tap the controller icon to open up Minigames!

How do I customize my photo booth frame?

Use this template to create a custom phrame.

As a room host you can change the frame available for roomies. Select "edit room", and enable the Photo Booth add-on. Open the dropdown and upload a file with a 16:9 ratio.

How can I use Icebreakers on Glimpse?

During a match, icebreaker question can be found on the right panel. As the event host, you can choose from pre-made icebreaker packs or type in your own!

My Glimpse video isn't working, what can I do?

Make sure you to turn off your video on Zoom, Google Meet, or MS Teams and try again. Typically, this issue arises because computers running Windows don't allow two video screens at the same time. 

We focus on supporting Glimpse for the latest Chrome, iOS, and Android. If issues persist, please upgrade your browser/OS or reach out to support@joinglimpse.com.

Is Glimpse secure?

Every 1-on-1 chat with Glimpse is End-To-End encrypted with WebRTC, using Twilio to facilitate the connection, meaning your video is only shared with the person you’re talking to. There is no central server for your video, and nothing is ever recorded. 

How do I report someone on Glimpse?

If you’re on web, you can click “report” in the bottom left corner of the video. If you’re on mobile, tap the red flag icon in the bottom right corner. 

Is Glimpse accessible? / Does Glimpse conform to Federal Accessibility Guidelines? (WCAG)

Glimpse is working every day to increase accessibility for our users. Right now, we support level AA of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.0 and 2.1.
